James R. Hugunin ist ein Associate Adjunct Professor, Department of Art
History, Theory, and Criticism, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
and Gewinner des 1983 First Place Award for the Reva and David Logan
Award for Distinguished New Writing in Photography. So jedenfalls stellt
er sich im Rahmen seines Internet-Magazins »Uturn« vor. Auf seine Texte
wurden wir erst durchs Internet aufmerksam. Was uns zuerst zu »Uturn«
brachte, haben wir vergessen. In Erinnerung blieb die vorbildliche Präsen-
tation, die Hugunin seinen Texte hat angedeihen lassen - siehe unten. Sein
Spezialgebiet scheint die zeitgenössische Fotokunstszene der Vereinig-
ten Staaten zu sein. Vermutlich ist das auch ein primärer Gegenstand sei-
ner Universitären Kurse, von denen wir aber noch keine Syllabi im Netz
gefunden haben. So kennen wir Hugunin nur durch seine Texte.
